Papadopoulos Dimitrios

Dr Dimitris Papadopoulos was born in Russia and grew up in Greece (Giannitsa).

He studied Biology at the Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki and then he took the MsC title in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Thessalia, Larisa.

He is head of the IVF Laboratory of Rea Maternity Hospital of Athens.
He has worked in big IVF centers in Greece before becoming head of IVF of Rea.
He has participated in many national and international congresses.

He speaks fluently Greek, English and Russian.

He was member of the national greek board of Embriologists.

He is member of the national board of Bioscientists in Greece.

Member of ESHRE, European Association of Human Reproduction & Embryology.

Founding member of the IVF laboratory of REA IVF Unit.

Gkamplia Vassiliki

Ms. Gamblia Vasiliki-Aspasia completed her Bachelor degree in the Department of Biological Applications and Technologies of the University of Ioannina and continued with postgraduate studies and further training in Reproductive Biology at the Department of Medicine at the University of Thessaly. She participated for a year in the research team of the Institute of Biomedical Research (IBE) where he gained significant experience in a variety of molecular techniques such as Crispr, Cell Culture, Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence and Confocal Microscopy. In 2016, she did her training in animal handling and immunological methods at the Institute of Biomedical Research (IIBEAA). She joined the REA IVF team in 2018 and has been trained in a wide range of andrological and embryological techniques. She is a member of the European Association for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Morou Stavroula

Mrs Morou Stavroula Maria is a graduate of the Biology Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with postgraduate studies in Assisted Reproduction Technology (MMedSci in Assisted Reproduction Technology) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, which she has completed in 2013. Mrs Morou is an ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) Certified Clinical Embryologist. Since 2013, she has been working in the Fertility Unit of REA Maternity Hospital where she successfully practices all methods and protocols applied in the embryology and andrology lab (oocyte pickup, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation, embryo transfer, embryo biopsy (PGD) etc.). Mrs Morou is a member of ESHRE and the Hellenic Society of Clinical Embryologists (PEKE) and has participated and been trained in national and international conferences in the field of assisted reproduction technology. In addition to that, she has participated in research projects of REA Fertility Unit which have been presented during the ESHRE conference.

Tsioulou Petroula

 

Mrs Tsioulou Petroula graduated from the Department of Biology of Patras and obtained her master of science degree in “Research in Female Reproduction” from Medical School of Athens.

She observed the techniques at the IVF laboratory of Maternity Hospital “Elena Venizelou”, and she was trained as a clinical embryologist at the assisted conception unit of Aretaieion Hospital. She participated in the research activities of the Hellenic cord blood bank of Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens, being trained on the collection, and cryopreservation of hematopoietic progenitor and mesenchymal cells from the umbilical cord blood and the umbilical cord, respectively.

From 2021, she works at the REA Fertility and IVF Unit, being continuously trained in a range of technique of the andrology and embryology laboratory, such as oocyte retrieval, sperm preparation, vitrification and thawing of embryos and gametes.

She is an author of various publications at scientific peer-reviewed journals, and she has poster and oral presentations at international and national congresses. Currently, she contributes to the research activity of the American Center of Reproductive Medicine of Cleveland Clinic.
